Marisol was born in a small town in Zacatecas, Mexico. She met Verbum Dei in 1996 in Monterrey, Mexico...
In her first retreat with the Verbum Dei charism, she was moved as she heard the Word of God preached. It immediately led her to prayer. In that moment, she met a living God who conquered her heart and called her to live a consecrated life in this missionary charism. Marisol officially began her experience as a missionary in Guatemala from 2000 – 2002. She studied philosophy in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Theology at the Verbum Dei Institute in Loeches, Madrid. After completing her initial studies, Marisol continued her missionary experience in different states of Mexico, such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, Morelia, and León. She eagerly enjoyed sharing the missionary journey with the different groups of the Verbum Dei Missionary Family. While in Monterrey, Marisol completed a Master’s degree in “Theology of Communication” at the University of the Archdiocese of Monterrey, Mexico. At present, Marisol is based in the San Francisco community and continues her journey of inculturation. She lives with a great desire to evangelize the contexts that God and the community present to her.
